Battle of the Nations 2019 in Smederevo Fortress

Battle off the Nations is a world championship in Historical Medieval Battle. It features multiple disciplines: Duels with swords and bucklers and Buhurt, which is a fight between two teams of warriors. Of course, participating warriors are only allowed to use medieval weapons and shields during their battles.Back in 2019, Battle of the Nations was held in Smederevo, a small city in Serbia.

As the October comes, western countries start to prepare for Halloween celebrations. Different countries have their own customs. Hungary is no exception. Every year, at the end of October, a pumpkin carving festival is organized in Szeged. I have managed to visit this festival in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Now, I will share my impressions with you.
